Congratulations! If you are shopping for a home inspector then you have a property under contract. Now you must do your due diligence to confirm that the property meets your expectations.
Many prospective buyers choose to do a building inspection and, depending on the circumstances, a radon test, water test or septic/sewer line test. As is my custom, I suggest choosing three inspectors, inquiring about what your chosen inspections would cost for the property in question and reviewing the type/scope of a typical inspection report. Many inspectors are happy to provide these items prior to being formally engaged for their services.
